Sinopsis
El paro cardíaco es una pérdida súbita e inesperada de la función cardíaca, que provoca que el flujo sanguíneo se detenga hacia el cerebro y otros órganos vitales. A diferencia de un ataque cardíaco (causado por el bloqueo del flujo sanguíneo hacia el músculo cardíaco), el paro cardíaco ocurre cuando el sistema eléctrico del corazón falla, dando lugar a un latido cardíaco irregular o ausente (arritmia).
