However, the primary application of ginger for headaches in these traditions is more commonly associated with general headaches or migraines rather than cluster headaches specifically. Cluster headaches are a distinct and severe type of headache disorder, and there is little direct evidence—either traditional or scientific—supporting ginger’s use for this particular form.
Some traditional uses of ginger involve its anti-inflammatory and anti-nausea properties, which can be beneficial in managing symptoms that sometimes accompany headaches. Ginger is believed to help by reducing inflammation, improving circulation, and alleviating nausea, which are sometimes secondary symptoms of headache disorders.
