Security at Caring Sunshine
NEW: Effortless Check-in
We recently implemented a new security system that allows our customers to register their computers or devices with Caring Sunshine. Once you have registered your device, you do not have to log into your account to place orders, but any orders you place will still get added to your account and you will automatically receive any promotions that are in your account.
Once your device is registered, as you browse Caring Sunshine, you will see your name and account promotions at the top of the page. However, no other information about you is available unless you log in. This includes your address, phone number, email address, past order history, and payment information.
You still have to log in to do the following:
- View past orders
- Initiate returns
- View/edit customer information
- View/edit payment methods
- Pay for an order using a credit card that you may have stored in your Caring Sunshine account
The easy way to think of device registration is this: it is a secure way to place orders into your account and receive account benefits but if you need to access personal information, you still have to log in as normal. To log in or register your device, go here.
Other security information
We protect customer information using conventional security protocols such as SSL certificates when we collect any information from you. We protect our servers using state-of-the-art security services that are constantly updated with new threats.
While you can choose to save credit cards in your account, you should be aware that we do not actually ever store credit cards in any of our systems. What we store instead is a token provided to us by your credit card company that we (and only we) can reuse. This new technology makes data breaches virtually impossible because even if hackers could steal tokens, they could not use them.
