Tamarix species, commonly referred to as tamarisk or salt cedar, have a history of use in traditional medicine systems, particularly in regions such as the Middle East, North Africa, and parts of Asia. In some folk remedies, extracts or decoctions of Tamarix have been applied to skin conditions, including eczema, wounds, and other inflammatory skin disorders.
