Scientific studies have explored DHEA supplementation in aging men, particularly those with low DHEA or testosterone, for potential benefits in libido, erectile function, and general well-being. Some clinical trials report modest improvements in erectile dysfunction and sexual satisfaction, particularly in men with adrenal insufficiency or those with low baseline DHEA levels (J Clin Endocrinol Metab, 1999; Urology, 2002). However, large-scale, well-controlled studies in healthy men are limited, and results are mixed regarding significant increases in testosterone or meaningful improvements in fertility parameters such as sperm count or motility (Fertil Steril, 2002).
