Eclipta alba (commonly known as False Daisy or Bhringraj) is primarily recognized in traditional Ayurvedic medicine for its applications in supporting liver health, hair growth, and skin conditions. Its use for the urinary system is less prominent, but some traditional practices have included Eclipta in formulations intended for urinary tract support, such as managing mild urinary discomfort or acting as a mild diuretic ("mutral" in Ayurveda). However, there is a scarcity of robust scientific studies directly investigating Eclipta's effects on the urinary system, and very few clinical trials support its efficacy for urinary health in humans. Most references to its urinary benefits are based on anecdotal or traditional use rather than rigorous scientific validation. Therefore, while Eclipta is sometimes mentioned in traditional texts as supportive for the urinary system, the available evidence is weak and not well substantiated by modern research. As such, its use for urinary health should be considered primarily traditional, with limited empirical support.
