Spelt (Triticum spelta) is an ancient grain that has been cultivated for thousands of years and used in traditional diets throughout Europe and the Middle East. Its use to support the small intestines, specifically, is primarily supported by traditional and folk medicine perspectives, rather than robust scientific investigation. In traditional herbalism and dietary practices, spelt and other whole grains are valued for their fiber content, which is believed to aid in digestion and promote healthy intestinal function.
