Scientifically, the nutrients in eggs can contribute to overall digestive health, which includes the small intestine. Proteins and amino acids from eggs are efficiently digested and absorbed in the small intestine, providing essential building blocks for intestinal cell maintenance and repair. Furthermore, the phospholipids and choline in eggs may support the integrity of the intestinal mucosa and cellular membranes. Some research has indicated that egg-derived peptides may have anti-inflammatory effects in the gut, and eggs are generally well-tolerated in healthy individuals without an egg allergy or specific digestive conditions.

However, direct evidence specifically linking egg consumption to enhanced small intestine health in humans is limited.
