Chitin-glucan complex is a natural polysaccharide derived from the cell walls of fungi, and it has gained scientific interest for its potential prebiotic effects in supporting digestive health, including the small intestine. Several studies have shown that chitin-glucan supplementation can beneficially modulate the gut microbiota. For instance, research published in peer-reviewed journals indicates that chitin-glucan can increase populations of beneficial bacteria such as Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus species.
