Several clinical trials and reviews have explored the efficacy of vitamin B6 in alleviating premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms, especially mood-related symptoms associated with PMS Type A. The proposed mechanism is related to vitamin B6’s role as a coenzyme in neurotransmitter synthesis, particularly serotonin and dopamine, which are implicated in mood regulation.
