Fruit & Vegetable Blends are often promoted for supporting metabolic health, including in the context of Metabolic Syndrome—a cluster of conditions that increase the risk of heart disease, stroke, and diabetes. There is moderate scientific evidence supporting the benefit of increased fruit and vegetable intake for metabolic health. Epidemiological studies consistently show that higher consumption of fruits and vegetables is associated with a reduced risk of developing Metabolic Syndrome and its components (e.g., hypertension, dyslipidemia, insulin resistance, and central obesity). The proposed mechanisms include improved antioxidant status, anti-inflammatory effects, better glycemic control, and increased dietary fiber intake, all of which may positively affect metabolic risk factors.

Several interventional studies and meta-analyses suggest that diets rich in fruits and vegetables can improve blood pressure, lipid profiles, and insulin sensitivity. However, much of the evidence is based on whole food consumption, and the specific efficacy of "fruit & vegetable blends" (i.e., powders, capsules, or juices) is less robustly studied. Some small clinical trials indicate that such blends may provide modest improvements in markers of oxidative stress, inflammation, and vascular function, but results are variable and often limited by study size and duration. Therefore, while the general concept is supported by scientific evidence, direct evidence for commercial fruit and vegetable blends is moderate, meriting a rating of 3.
