Some Enterococcus strains have been shown to help maintain or restore intestinal microbiota balance, inhibit pathogenic bacteria, and support gut barrier functions. Several clinical and animal studies suggest these probiotics may reduce the duration of diarrhea, including antibiotic-associated and traveler’s diarrhea, and improve general gut health by modulating immune responses and producing bacteriocins that suppress harmful microbes.
