Babchi (Psoralea corylifolia) has a longstanding history of use in traditional Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine, primarily for skin conditions such as vitiligo and leprosy. Its seeds and oil are valued for their purported ability to support skin health, and in some formulations, Babchi is also considered a tonic for the glandular system, particularly the endocrine glands. Traditional Ayurvedic texts describe Babchi as having properties that may help harmonize the body's internal secretions and support reproductive health.
