Almonds (Prunus dulcis) are commonly regarded as a nutrient-dense food that may help reduce feelings of fatigue and support energy levels. Their use for this purpose is primarily supported by nutritional science rather than longstanding traditional practices explicitly targeting "energy lack." Almonds are rich in healthy fats, protein, fiber, vitamin E, magnesium, and other micronutrients, all of which play roles in energy metabolism. Several studies indicate that the combination of protein and healthy fats in almonds can help maintain steady blood glucose levels, which in turn may prevent energy crashes and sustain alertness throughout the day. For example, a randomized crossover trial published in the journal Nutrition Research (2013) found that almond consumption as a snack led to reduced hunger and sustained energy in healthy adults. Additionally, magnesium—present in significant amounts in almonds—is essential for numerous enzymatic reactions involved in energy production, and deficiency in this mineral is associated with fatigue.

However, there is limited direct clinical evidence that almonds can treat or reverse chronic fatigue or medically diagnosed low energy.
