Vitamin E, comprising both tocopherols and tocotrienols, has some scientific basis for its use in supporting the testes and overall male reproductive health, though the evidence is moderate and mostly preclinical. Vitamin E is a potent lipid-soluble antioxidant, and its primary proposed mechanism in testicular support relates to reducing oxidative stress. The testes are highly susceptible to oxidative damage due to the abundance of polyunsaturated fatty acids in sperm cell membranes and the high rate of cell division during spermatogenesis. Several animal studies have demonstrated that Vitamin E supplementation can protect testicular tissue from oxidative injury, improve sperm motility, and increase sperm count. For example, Vitamin E has been shown to mitigate testicular damage from toxins or heat in rodents and improve fertility parameters in animal models.
