The traditional rationale is that Teasel root "tonifies the liver and kidneys" and "strengthens bones and sinews" according to TCM principles. Herbal texts describe its application in the context of supporting recovery from injuries, fractures, or general musculoskeletal weakness.
However, there is limited scientific research directly validating these traditional claims in the context of muscle health or function.
