Raspberry (Rubus idaeus and related species) leaves and fruits have been used traditionally in herbal medicine, particularly in European and Native American traditions. While raspberry is more commonly associated with reproductive health, especially for supporting pregnancy and labor, there is some traditional use of raspberry leaf as a mild expectorant or for soothing sore throats and coughs, which are related to respiratory (lung) health. However, the evidence is sparse, and these uses are not as prominent as those for reproductive or digestive support. Scientific studies specifically assessing raspberry leaf or fruit for direct support of lung function or respiratory conditions are lacking.
