Troxerutin is a flavonoid derived from rutin, commonly used in Europe and Asia to support vascular health, particularly the integrity of capillaries. There is scientific validation for its use in this context. Clinical studies and experimental models have demonstrated that troxerutin can improve microcirculation, reduce capillary permeability, and decrease symptoms associated with chronic venous insufficiency, such as edema and pain. Troxerutin's mechanisms include antioxidative, anti-inflammatory, and vasoprotective effects, which help stabilize capillary walls and decrease the risk of capillary fragility and leakage.

Several randomized controlled trials and meta-analyses have shown that troxerutin, whether administered orally or topically, can significantly reduce symptoms of capillary fragility and venous disorders. For example, a systematic review published in Phytotherapy Research (2017) concluded that troxerutin was effective in reducing leg swelling and improving venous tone. Furthermore, preclinical studies suggest that troxerutin can decrease oxidative stress in vascular tissues and mitigate endothelial dysfunction, which are important factors in capillary health.

While more large-scale clinical trials could further clarify its benefits, current evidence supports the use of troxerutin for capillary support, especially for conditions like varicose veins, hemorrhoids, and diabetic microangiopathies.
