Sinopsis

El árbol de la vida oriental (Platycladus orientalis, anteriormente Thuja orientalis) es una conífera de hoja perenne nativa de China, Corea y partes del Himalaya. Pertenece a la familia del ciprés (Cupressaceae) y se cultiva ampliamente con fines ornamentales y medicinales. En la medicina tradicional, particularmente en la Medicina Tradicional China (TCM), se utilizan las semillas y las hojas del árbol, y las semillas se denominan Bai Zi Ren.
