Food Enzymes

I've heard that after the age of 30 you usually don't produce as many enzymes to help you digest your food. I take two or three, depending on what I'm eating. With a salad, two enzymes are sufficient. With my chili that is loaded with beans sometimes I will use two to three. It does not seem to hurt.
